This poster was created for the 30th annual Mississippi
Blues Festival in Greenville, Mississippi to portray the
way a festival can celebrate such musical diversity.

The Details

The Mississippi Delta Blues and Heritage Festival is the largest and most
exciting Delta-style blues festival in the United States. Musicians from
around the globe embark upon Greenville, Mississippi for the week-long
event. In addition to all the great music, the foundation unveils a new
poster design each and every year.

The purpose of the Mississippi Delta Blues and Heritage Fesitave is to
reach a worldwide audience with a celebration of the contributions the
Mississippi Delta Blues culture has made to the American story and to
help preserve that culture.

Being a festival, the idea behind my design was "Come Together." Using
photographs of various types of blues guitars, I created this single instrument,
representing the unity of the festival. And to top it off, above all is the
state of Mississippi as the head of the guitar.
